Andrea Radrizzani

Founder and Group Chairman, Aser Ventures

Andrea Radrizzani is a leading entrepreneur, who has been at the forefront of the global sports media industry for more than two decades.

A self-made businessman, Radrizzani began his career in sports media in 1999 with digital sports content distributor Media Partners and founded the Media Partners’ China business.

He went on to co-found MP & Silva in 2004, launching the renowned sports media agency’s operations from its headquarters in Singapore and leading its global expansion into 20 countries as CEO and major shareholder.

Andrea founded the investment platform Aser Ventures in 2015, specializing in sports, media and entertainment properties.

Through Aser, Andrea launched the international sports content platform ELEVEN SPORTS in 2015. ELEVEN has since established itself as an innovative and fan-centric media platform in markets across Europe and Asia, with a rights portfolio that includes LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Premier League, UEFA Champions League and F1. ELEVEN recently secured domestic rights to the Belgian Pro League for the next five seasons.

Under Andrea’s leadership Aser became co-owners of Leeds United in January 2017 after purchasing 50% of the Club’s share capital. Aser is now the ultimate parent company of Leeds United with Andrea the Club’s chairman.

During his time with Leeds, Andrea has overseen the appointment of world-renowned coach Marcelo Bielsa, supported the development of one of the most productive academies in English football and bought back the Club’s iconic Elland Road stadium. In the 2019/20 season, following just three years at the helm, Andrea led Leeds back to top-flight football in the Premier League, after 16 years away.

Andrea recently led the launch of LIVENow, a new streaming platform distributing live sport, fitness and entertainment content to consumers globally. The platform aims to disrupt the pay TV market and democratise access to world-class live content.

Andrea is the Founder and Chairman of Play for Change, an international charity that uses the power of sport to improve the lives of children in his native Italy and around the world.

Born in Milan, Andrea studied Public Relations at the city’s IULM University and graduated in 1996.

Andrea is a leading entrepreneur who has been at the forefront of the global sports media industry throughout his distinguished career.

Andrea is owner and Chairman of global investment company Aser Ventures; Leeds United Football Club and international sports content platform Eleven Sports.

Andrea has also led Aser Ventures’ investment in several growing digital businesses including Whistle Sports, Hellodi, Easyprod and Sports Data Labs, creating an ecosystem of innovative services and sports related content.

Massimo Marinelli

CEO

Massimo’s remit is to drive new investment opportunities for the group in sports, media and entertainment as well as building partnerships with other investors in the space.

Before joining Aser Ventures, Massimo spent 15 years in Investment Banking in the City and Wall Street, latterly as Managing Director, Head of EMEA Media & Internet at UBS Investment Bank where he led and executed transactions for Formula 1, Dorna/MotoGP, Sky, Viacom and Perform amongst others.

Massimo is an avid sports fan and theatregoer, loves fashion and the “occasional” cigar. He lives in London with his wife and two sons.

Marc Watson

Board Director; Eleven Sports Executive Chairman

Marc is an Aser Ventures Board Member and is Executive Chairman of Eleven Sports, driving the global business across several markets in Europe and Asia.

Prior to his current roles, Marc served as CEO of BT TV where he devised, launched and helped establish BT Sport – one of the most successful and disruptive channel launches in the history of the UK market.

Prior to BT, Marc was a shareholder and director at the TV strategy and sports rights consultancy Reel Enterprises who were longstanding advisers to the Premier League and others.

Luis Vicente

Chief Digital Officer; Eleven Sports Chief Executive

Luis is a vastly experienced sports executive, with a 25-year track record of driving innovation, commercial growth and brand engagement.

Luis has worked with some of the world's leading brands in football and motorsports, including FIFA, Manchester City, Valencia CF, Real Madrid, AC Milan, the Premier League, La Liga, Red Bull, Ferrari, Lotus and A1GP. He began his career in talent management, representing Luis Figo and Ronaldo Nazario among other world class athletes.

Luis combines his Aser responsibilities with the role of CEO, ELEVEN SPORTS Group.

Graham Wallace

Chief Corporate & Finance Officer

Graham has a long track-record of driving strategic, operational and financial excellence with leading media and sports organisations including Gfinity, MTV Europe, IMG Media, Manchester City and Glasgow Rangers.

Graham heads up corporate and financial operations for Aser Ventures and the group’s portfolio companies, including ELEVEN SPORTS.

Lara Vanjak

Chief Operating Officer

As COO at Aser Ventures, Lara runs Group Operations.
Lara grew up in former Yugoslavia and has lived in Milan, Dubai and London, working for several diverse businesses including MP & Silva, Infront, IMG and Inter Milan.

Lara has a healthy obsession for fashion, pilates and general sports activities and is a proud mum of two.

Andrea Cerroni

Group General Counsel

Andrea is an internationally educated lawyer with significant experience gained at first-class global law firms in Europe and Asia.

Andrea specialises in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law and international contracts, with a focus on the TMT sector.

Angus Kinnear

Leeds United Chief Executive

Before becoming CEO of Leeds United, Angus was MD of West Ham United for three years, where he lead the Club’s move into the Olympic Stadium, doubling commercial revenue and growing season ticket base to over 50k. Before that he lead digital marketing, sales and partnerships at Arsenal Football Club for nine years. Previously at P&G and Coca-Cola

Anouk Mertens

Eleven Sports Chief Operating Officer

Anouk helps to oversee ELEVEN SPORTS’ global operations and has a range of advisory roles across the Aser portfolio.
Anouk joined ELEVEN when the platform launched in 2015 to lead the Belgium division and became Group COO in 2018. She has previously held leadership roles with cable platform Telenet and media company Sanoma in Belgium.

Ruggero Magnoni

Board Member

Ruggero joined Lehman Brothers in 1977 and held a number of senior roles across the firm before serving as Chairman of Nomura International’s investment Banking division for EMEA. He also sits on the boards of Richemont, Immsi, Itek and Caruso.

Mattia Baldassarre

VP Business Development; Eleven Sports Italy MD

Mattia works to identify new opportunities to expand Aser Ventures’ portfolio. He combines his responsibilities with the role of MD, ELEVEN SPORTS Italy.

Before joining the Group, Mattia was trained as an international lawyer and founded Epico, the digital co-creation & entertainment platform.

In his spare time, Mattia enjoys tennis and music and is a Partner at Billboard Italy.

Alfred Waring

VP Business Development - APAC

Alfred has extensive experience working in the sports and media industry, formerly working with SportBusiness Group, Lagardere and MP&Silva.

Alfred is responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities for Aser Ventures’ portfolio in the APAC region.

Alfred is an avid sports fan, a world traveller, Arsenal fan, and cycling enthusiast. He is originally from the Philippines and now living in Singapore.

Alessandro Nuccetelli

Investments & Strategy Associate

Alessandro in an Associate in the Investments & Strategy team of Aser Ventures; he is involved in origination and execution of investment opportunities. He also works closely with portfolio companies as required. Before joining the Group, he worked as a strategy consultant and as an artist agent.

Originally from Rome, Alessandro moved to London to study. He has lived in Madrid, Tokyo and Moscow and in his spare time he enjoys playing football, hiking, cooking and supporting AS Roma.

Arjun Khanna

Investments & Strategy, Analyst

Arjun is an Analyst in the Investments & Strategy team of Aser Ventures; he is involed in origination and execution of investments, as well as working with portfolio companies as required.

Before joining the Group, Arjun worked as an Equity Analyst at Nomura.

He holds a Master’s Degree from London School of Economics and Political Science. Like a true Indian, Arjun is an accomplished cricketer and the first-choice goalkeeper for the Aser Ventures football team.

Euan Rabbatts

Senior Legal Counsel

Euan has extensive experience working in the sports and media industries having formerly worked with ITV and MP&Silva.

At ITV, he was Senior Legal Advisor to the Commerce & Ventures team and then the Broadcast and Legal affairs team.

Euan spent a total of six years with MP&Silva and finished his time there as the Group’s Head of Legal, where he was responsible for advising on commercial and media acquisitions and working with the likes of Premier League, Serie A, and the NFL. He was also responsible for all corporate matters of the Group.

Philip Nash

Group Finance Director

Philip is an experienced financial executive with a strong sports business track record. Over the past 20 years, Philip has held CFO, COO, General Manager and Advisory roles with leading sports organisations including Liverpool FC, Arsenal, Glasgow Rangers and Norwich City.

Edward Kittow

Finance Manager

Edward supports the group finance functions as well as providing analytical analysis to help Aser Ventures companies make key business decisions.

Before joining the Group, Edward graduated with a First-Class degree in Accounting and Finance and is in the final stages of becoming a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Edward is an avid sportsman, playing representative rugby union and golf. He also enjoys going down to the South Coast to support Brighton and Hove Albion.

Tom Bennett

Head of Communications

Tom has worked in corporate and consumer communications for 10 years, specialising in sport and media.

He has previously worked with Arsenal FC and agency-side for New Balance Football. In addition to his Aser role, Tom is Head of Communications for ELEVEN SPORTS.

Tom plays Sunday League football, tennis and is a keen cycling fan.

Dina Petrone

Executive Assistant to Chairman

At the beginning of her career, Dina worked in Egypt and Italy in the hospitality and private jet industry.

In 2016, Dina joined Aser Ventures and since then she has been assisting Andrea Radrizzani and working closely with him in all the Companies within the Group.

Lauryna Blazyte

Office Manager

Lauryna works to support management teams across Aser and ELEVEN SPORTS.

Lauryna joined Aser from Taylor of Old Bond Street where she worked closely with the comany MD.

Lauryna enjoys swimming and yoga outside of work, as well as travelling when the opportunity arises.
